VP, Publishing Technology
Large, prestigious global information services company seeks a Vice President, Publishing Technology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital publishing strategic plan, including content technology strategy. Lead the exploration and strategic development of digital initiatives.
- Understand and track emerging technology trends and identify opportunities to create breakthrough digital products and solutions.
- Identify and recommend partnerships, acquisitions, alliances, and investment opportunities.
- Synthesize an understanding of the market, customers, and company financial requirements to develop and refine business plans that justify investments in new or expanded digital solutions/offerings.
- Provide guidance and leadership for digital product development.
- Recruit, develop, and manage web publishing staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-10 years of information technology and/or digital product development experience. General management and technology startup experience is a plus.
- Excellent planning, negotiation, financial management, interpersonal, analytical, and written and oral communication skills. Must be motivated and achievement-oriented.
- Strong leadership, management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to hold both a micro and macro view of project plans, technology solutions, and technology components of business plans.
- PhD in natural sciences a plus.
