Senior Vice President, Sales
Leading prepress and content aggregation services provider seeks a Senior Vice President, Sales to develop, grow, and coordinate sales efforts in the primary and secondary publishing, information, and content aggregation industries. Will be responsible for generating new business, managing the sales cycle, developing client and business partner relationships, and building long-term relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed pre-defined sales and profitability targets.
- Prospect for, advocate, and close new leads while managing existing account relationships.
- Represent the company as a speaker and industry expert at relevant trade shows and events.
- Oversee the sales forecasting process.
- Translate corporate market and product strategies into appropriate communications and go-to-market vehicles.
- Develop understanding of organizational dynamics of target customers and craft custom sales strategies for each situation.
Qualifications:
- At least 10-15 years of experience selling conversion engineering software services and content management services to senior-level technology executives across industry sectors.
- A deep rolodex in the above-mentioned space with an impeccable reputation and goodwill.
- Familiarity with operations issues required to sell a variety of services (e.g., how to convert data feeds from platforms to the internet).
- Experience in selling content management services to help clients in managing virtual offices, content servers, workflow applications, et al.
- Highly refined selling skills and business acumen, along with the ability to effectively interact and create networked relationships within customer organizations.
- Strong presentation skills and experience in presenting in a variety of forums, including industry associations and conferences.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills.
- Excellent team-building skills and ability to manage and develop high-quality talent within the organization.
