Senior Manager, Print & Paper

Leading consumer products company seeks a Senior Manager, Print & Paper to support the global purchasing requirement for a portfolio of printed literature needs. This includes developing supply strategies to meet overall corporate objectives of service, quality, and innovation, and achieving the lowest total delivered costs through supply chain integration.

Responsibilities:

• Manage portfolio of print and paper requirements to support the company’s direct sales model. Responsible for providing support and coaching to sourcing professionals within the group.
• Independently develop strategies to support North American supply and meet business objectives. Implement such strategies and revise as business conditions warrant.
• Utilize systems and PC software applications in support of sound business recommendations and decision-making.
• Serve as lead on process improvement initiatives.
• Develop and support sustainability strategies to address environmental issues.
• Implement and successfully lead continuous improvement initiatives with key suppliers.
• Track and measure financial cost savings based on purchase variation and rebates, and track cost avoidance, contributions to other markets, and currency fluctuations and their impact.

Skills and Experience:

• B.S. in Business, Purchasing, Logistics, or Finance required. M.B.A. desired.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in managing a multimillion-dollar paper/print sourcing portfolio. Manufacturing, finance, planning, and/or logistics experience a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Must be high-energy and results-oriented.
• Strength in evaluation of business and market conditions, supplier capabilities, and financial analysis to develop a sourcing strategy to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives.
