Premier publisher of reference product is seeking an experienced sales professional who will be responsible for revenue stream on a national level. This is a key role and requires a shirt-sleeve executive who can develop and implement strategic goals that will increase brand awareness and bottom line sales.
This person will manage a large staff of full-time sales professionals. He or she will be financially responsible for creating, forecasting and achieving budgets; establishing commission and overall compensation plans for the sales force; identifying new accounts and negotiating contracts to span across all sales channels throughout the corporation.
Background should include positive track record with national accounts in the retail, wholesale and chain store distribution. Particular expertise in price clubs desirable. Familiarity with non-publishing markets (i.e. drug superstores) is desirable as well as corporate markets and custom publishing.
