WALDO TIBBETTS APPOINTED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & ASSOCIATE PUBLISHER OF POLITICKER.COM

We are pleased to announce that Politicker.com has named Waldo Tibbetts its Executive Vice President and Associate Publisher, reporting directly to Observer Media Group President Bob Sommer. In this new capacity, Waldo will be responsible for advertising sales and the management, execution, and expansion of Politicker.com’s dynamic online network of political and government news sites.

Most recently he was Associate Publisher at Politico, where he managed all aspects of the news organization’s print and online advertising and helped the website to achieve Top 15 national newspaper website recognition.

Prior to that, Waldo served as National Accounts Manager for Washington Post Newsweek Interactive, where he developed corporate, advocacy, and media categories into the most profitable business segments in the company. Previous roles included Director of Sales at Legi-Slate, a former subsidiary of The Washington Post, and a variety of sales management roles at Congressional Quarterly.

 

Waldo received his Masters of Arts degree in Legislative and Political Affairs from George Washington University and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Virginia Commonwealth University.
