CENGAGE LEARNING APPOINTS ANGUS CARROLL AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CONTENT & MEDIA PRODUCTION

We are pleased to announce that Cengage Learning has named Angus Carroll as Executive Director, Content & Media Production for its Farmington Hills, MI location.

Angus will be responsible for providing overall direction and strategy for the Farmington Hills Content & Media Production (CMP) team, managing all aspects of sourcing, developing, updating, and maintaining featured content for digital, website, and print products. He will also oversee the CMP team’s development of content for all websites and products, as well as managing the conversion of workflows and processes from print-based to web-based publishing.

Angus was most recently Chief Marketing Officer at SirsiDynix, based in Huntsville, AL, which specializes in providing software to libraries. While there, Angus led the team that built a new generation of content-based portals for the public library sector. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Columbus, OH-based MindLeaders, vastly expanding the company’s e-learning product offerings and establishing key publishing partnerships.

Prior to that, Angus held senior roles at Dialog Corporation, Medicus, and Ceridian Corporation. He has an MBA from Fairleigh-Dickinson University in New Jersey.

CENGAGE LEARNING NAMES MICHAEL WEINSTEIN
VP, CONTENT & MEDIA PRODUCTION

We are pleased to announce that Cengage Learning has appointed Michael Weinstein as VP, Content & Media Production. In this role, Michael will have overall leadership for the production of Cengage Learning’s print, electronic, and new media products. He will provide direction in the areas of design, production, prepress, editorial development, and media production.

Michael arrives at Cengage Learning from Oxford University Press, where he served as Vice President/Director of Editing, Design, Production, and Manufacturing. At OUP, Michael oversaw U.S. production and manufacturing of over 900 print and non-print products annually.

Michael earlier served in senior production positions at Worth Publishers, Addison Wesley Longman, HarperCollins College Publishers, and Atlantic Monthly Press.

Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Herbert H. Lehman College (CUNY).
