GLOBE PEQUOT’S LYON PRESS NAMES RONNIE GRAMAZIO SR. ACQUISITIONS EDITOR

In his appointment, Ronnie will develop concepts for profitable books, series, and related products to meet publishing objectives. He will also work with freelance acquiring editors to maintain and fill a target list for series acquisitions. Additional responsibilities include presenting product concepts to the Publishing Board, preparing cost estimates, and participating in acquisition meetings as well as working with sales and marketing executives to support book sales.

Ronnie joins The Globe Pequot Press with a well established career in Australian publishing. Most recently, he worked for the Australian offices of John Wiley & Sons as a Publicist and later as a Book Publisher/Editor, Trade Non-Fiction. Ronnie also worked for Simon & Schuster Australia and Black Inc. (formerly Bookman Press) among other Australian publishing houses.

INGER FORLAND JOINS GLOBE PEQUOT PRESS AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF MARKETING, PUBLICITY AND DESIGN

Inger Forland will join Globe Pequot Press as Executive Director of Marketing, Publicity and Design. Inger has held senior positions in marketing at Time-Life and the Naval Institute Press, and started her own consulting company. Her firm and experienced hand will help guide Globe Pequot Press towards their goal of growth and profit. Michelle Patterson, who has guided the department through tremendous change and challenge, will report to Inger.

GLOBE PEQUOT PRESS NAMES KAREN CURE EDITORIAL DIRECTOR, TRAVEL

Heading up Globe Pequot’s new travel initiative (including WHERE and International) will be Karen Cure. With 35 years experience as a writer and publishing professional, 12 of those as VP and Editorial Director at Fodor’s/Random House, Karen brings the kind of résumé that speaks directly to the goals of Globe Pequot’s travel plans. With the exciting WHERE partnership, Globe Pequot has an opportunity to dominate a slice of this market - a market that Globe has a long and wonderful history in.
