We are pleased to announce that Bill Reed has been named COO of CFM Religion Publishing, a division of the Wicks Group of Companies. In his new role, Bill will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and coordinate sales, product development, IT systems, finance, and procurement. He will also develop and implement an integrated business strategy for the company for sustained growth and profitability.
Bill has over 25 years of experience in the media and information publishing industries. He was most recently part of the senior management team at F+W Publications, where he served as the President of the Magazine & Conferences/Conventions Group. Prior to that, Bill spent almost 20 years in senior management roles at Meredith Corporation, most recently as Vice President/Publishing Director, directing the Better Homes & Gardens Special Interest Media Group.
Bill received a B.A. in English and Business from DePaul University in Chicago. He will be located at the CFM headquarters in Cincinnati.

We are pleased to announce that Standard Publishing, a division of CFM Religion Publishing Group, has appointed long-time industry veteran Larry Carpenter as President and Publisher. Carpenter, who currently serves as Vice President of Marketing for Non-Fiction Trade Books at Thomas Nelson, has been involved in Christian book publishing and distribution since 1987.
Carpenter, who received his BA and MBA degrees from the University of North Carolina, began his career at Procter & Gamble. He served as Director of Marketing for Campbell Soup Company before joining Ingram Book Company as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 1987. After Ingram’s purchase of Spring Arbor in 1997, Carpenter became President and CEO of Spring Arbor, the world’s largest Christian wholesale distributor. Carpenter left Ingram in 1999 to start the first full-service Christian distributor, FaithWorks. After the purchase of FaithWorks by STL, Inc. in 2005, Carpenter remained as General Manager of FaithWorks and became Chief Marketing Officer for STL. In 2007, Carpenter joined Thomas Nelson.
