We are pleased to announce that Jane Comins has been named Publishing and Marketing Director: Art, General Interest, and Electronic Publishing at Yale University Press. In this role, Jane will lead the sales, publicity, and marketing efforts for all titles in these imprints and will have general responsibility for the forecasting process of the Press.
Jane was most recently Associate Publisher and Executive Director of Marketing at Hyperion, and has worked on numerous bestselling campaigns, including Christopher Anderson's The Long Tail, David Halberstam's The Coldest Winter, J.R. Moehringer's The Tender Bar, and New York Times #1 bestseller Randy Pausch's The Last Lecture.
Prior to that role, Jane served as Senior Manager Retail Marketing at Little, Brown and Company, where she helped launch Edward James Olmos' Americanos project, a Time Warner corporate book/exhibition in conjunction with the Smithsonian Museum, and worked on dynamic campaigns for David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest and David Sedaris' Naked.
Jane received a Bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College and a Master’s degree from the University of New Mexico.
